Maggie Crowe
Regional Development Manager, Macmillan Cancer Care

Maggie is a Cancer Nurse with extensive experience in clinical areas including the management of patients receiving chemotherapy and ovarian cancer. She has worked in advanced practice and was the first nurse in the country to undertake abdominal paracentisis.

As a founding member of The United Kingdom Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) Maggie was president from 2008 until 2010 and oversaw the launch of the UKONs Chemotherapy and Living with and Beyond Cancer Nurse Forums.

Maggie is currently a Macmillan Development Manager facilitating the development of new and innovative services across the former Avon and Somerset to improve the experience of people affected by cancer. Partnership working is key to this role and Maggie has strong relationships with NHS providers and commissioners and with the social and voluntary sector. She has also developed a number of services supporting people living with the consequences of cancer and its treatments.
